We assisted a manufacturer of disposable cat litter trays with development of a business plan to aid in raising equity financing to support expansion of product distribution throughout California. Specific responsibilities included defining the firm's business, goals, and objectives; evaluating the marketplace, returns, and risks associated with the firm's product; assessing alternative marketing, operating, and financial strategies and approaches; determining staffing requirements and organization structure; and preparing pro forma financial statements for five years of operations.

We reviewed the production operations, work flow, scheduling, quality control, and customer service of an optical (eyeglass) grinding laboratory in order to improve operational performance and provide a basis for long-term growth plans. Results of the assessment indicated annual savings in excess of three hundred thousand dollars. Subsequent responsibilities included preparation of a twenty-five thousand square foot new facility layout and concurrent reorganization of management and supervisory functions.

We evaluated the plaintiff's construction contract claim. The plaintiff claimed approximately $5 million in damages due to delays, disruptions, and lost profits related to electrical work on a hotel construction project.
