We evaluated the plaintiff's lost profit claim. The plaintiff claimed approximately $1.6 million in lost profits relating to problems with a yellow pages advertisement. The case was settled out-of-court for $80,000.

During 2013 we completed an assessment of EVEO's project cost and quality planning and control processes. EVEO is a leading health care and pharmaceuticals communications agency that specializes in designing and developing innovative digital marketing and communications solutions targeted to patients, doctors, sales representatives, and thought leaders. The scope of this project encompassed all major Departments, including Sales (Client Services), Account Management, Project Management and Control, Engineering, Creative, Content, Resource Management, and Quality Assurance. The scope of the assessment encompassed a detailed review and evaluation of all aspects of EVEO's project research and planning, project development, and project management process, identification of deficiencies with EVEO's current cost and quality management processes, and the causes of these deficiencies, and development of a Project Cost and Quality Management Improvement Plan. The Improvement Plan included both strategic and tactical improvement initiatives focused on restructuring EVEO's project development work groups and designing, developing and implementing improved processes for researching and planning, developing, and managing client projects. The Improvement Plan addressed improvement needs in all of the following areas:
Subsequently, we assisted EVEO with developing improved processes for (1) assessing project risks and (2) more fully characterizing each project to enable better project scoping, costing, scheduling, and communications about each project both internally and between EVEO and client staff.
We also completed a targeted evaluation and audit of EVEO's project discounts and overruns. The results of these efforts were used to (1) identify internal control problems and risk factors associated with project discounts and (2) develop improved processes for budgeting, planning, authorizing, managing and tracking discounts during the initial project scoping stage and subsequently during development of the project when a project's scope increases and a change order for EVEO's additional costs is needed.

During 2014 we provided strategic and business planning assistance to Rotarun Ski Area. Rotarun, located at Art Richard's Mountain south of Sun Valley, Idaho, specializes in providing affordable skiing and ski instruction programs for the local community. The scope of this project encompassed a comprehensive assessment of Rotarun's governance structure, facilities, equipment, marketing and communications, recreational and instruction programs, support services, strategic partnerships, and finances. Results of the assessment were used to support development of a Rotarun Ski Area Improvement Plan. The Improvement Plan includes both strategic and tactical improvement initiatives focuses initially on acquisition of additional water rights and development and implementation of snow-making systems and equipment which would extend Rotarun's ski season and significantly improve the quality of the Rotarun skiing experience. Concurrently, Rotarun's facilities and equipment will be upgraded or replaced to support an expanded portfolio of skiing programs along with other wintertime mountain activities. Longer-term, Rotarun will seek new or enhanced affiliations and partnerships with other private, public and not-for-profit organizations that can help to further strengthen and expand Rotarun's portfolio of outdoor recreation programs and services.
